@variablepulserate to thwart shades, the lights could strobe on and off at irregular intervals, which would slow things down a lot. A thief would then need to either bring their own source of bright light to counteract the moments of darkness, or shoot out (or spray paint) all of the lights before grabbing the loot 🤔
