Once again, it seems that "marketing was lying".

Two months ago, when I started the current project, I was told that a legacy marketing site needed to be migrated to a new system. Problem is that the existing CMS will not work on modern versions of Linux, so I've been working to get things converted over. The expectation was that this site would be "static until the new global Marketing site was live".

So, as I'm going through the pages on the development site today, I see that there are a bunch of pages on the live system that have been updated. Nobody is fessing up, but this now calls into question every page I've already migrated into the new CMS, which is wholly incompatible with the previous system. It could mean I have to redo a bunch of work all over again …
