To Gamagori We Go

Written by JasononOctober 20th, 2024

Beneath the wide and open sky,
Ayumi and I set forth, we fly,
With the top down, breeze in hair,
To Gamagori, free from care.

The ocean greeted us with grace,
Its waves a peaceful, gentle trace.
Young hands dug for Asari's prize,
While older folks cast hopeful eyes.

We watched as fish leaped from the sea,
To catch the buzzing flies with glee.
The mountains tall, their trees leaned low,
Where ocean winds forever blow.

For an hour, we roamed the shore,
Our steps in sync, no need for more.
Four kilometres of blissful tread,
With nature’s wonders softly spread.

On our return, a latte sipped,
A moment savoured, joyfully tipped.
A perfect day, serene and true,
With Ayumi by my side, we flew.

The drive back home, a calm reprise,
The sunset painted in the skies.
A simple journey, yet so grand,
In Gamagori’s timeless sand.
