There are two parts of the day that I find incredibly hard to deal with. The first is the start of the day, as it generally happens before coffee has hit the bloodstream. The second is the end of the day, because I'm not quite ready to call it quits. There is always "one more quick thing" that I'd like to tend to … and then another … and then another … and another. Not wanting to end the day could be seen as a positive thing, as it means there's interest in the task at hand. That said, it can easily distort to become some form of strange compulsion.
No matter how often I tell myself that my work will still be there waiting for me the next day, the desire to see something completed is hard to ignore.
